What Alabaster won't pick up
Even with a reservation, the city's ordinance excludes a lot of what people actually need hauled:
- Renovation and demolition debris. Ordinance 181119-079 specifically excludes construction refuse from major lot clearing, home construction, major renovation, repair, or demolition — including debris a homeowner created themselves. The city directs residents to licensed commercial haulers.
- Anything containing Freon, oil, or gas. Refrigerators, freezers, window units, lawnmowers, and similar equipment are left at the curb.
- Anything over 10 feet long, or any load over 10 cubic yards.
That last limit matters more than it sounds. Ten cubic yards is roughly a single-room cleanout. A garage, a basement, or an estate clearing runs past it easily.
Those exclusions are the reason most Alabaster calls come in. A kitchen remodel, a water-damaged basement, an inherited house full of forty years of belongings — none of it fits the city program, by design. We handle the loads Alabaster's ordinance sends to private haulers, on your schedule rather than the first Monday of next month.
